Ron's Post: The other night I was out shooting
landscapes by the Cheseapeake Bay with my wide angle
(12-24mm) lens, and walked up on three little baby
foxes .. wrong lens for that! I went back last night
with my Bigma, sat on a dune and waited .. and waited
.. but what a show I got!! There were SIX little guys
total, but I could never get a clear shot of them all

Fred shares some of his travel photos and gets some
useful feedback. Constructive criticism is always
appreciated, though it's important to know that a lot
of this is subjective. When you were there and you
know what you wanted to bring home in the photo, you
may want to reject suggested changes. You're the

Nick pointed to some powerful B&W war images.
Does color get in the way when you're trying to show
the horror of war? The discussion winds up talking
about more than photography. Can photos of war

The Neighborhood Cat

Leonard Nimoy's "Robust" Nudes
05/20/07 12:32
When Leonard Nimoy photographs obese women, it looks
like an attempt to draw attention to his photography
by focusing on the bizarre, but would anyone pay
attention to any of his photos had he not
played Mr. Spock on Star Trek? Some say no. What do you think?

Lisa asked us to take a look at a collection of her

photography is always a challenge, but without useful
feedback, it's all but impossible. Take a look at Lisa's gallery (via a
link in the first message), and then share your
thoughts with her!
Lessons From a Classic Photo
03/28/07 12:54
When a great photographer and a classic photo can't
be named, does that tell us anything about our public
education system? Why is it famous painters come to
mind, but photographers whose work is often as great,
if not greater, are hard to recall? Click here to see how a question
about W. Eugene Smith's famous photo, "Walk to a
Paradise Garden," gave rise to that question.

Linda Baldwin shares a sad story: When a photo was
taken of an orchid named after Laura Bush with the
first lady present, the First Lady's flower ws
