Camera phones versus a dSLR?

Obviously, a camera in the hand is better than one
that's at home in an equipment bag, so at least from
that perspective, a camera phone can easily beat a
dSLR, but are they competitive where it counts, in
image quality? A post points to some iffy samples and

Universal updates for all their Photoshop plug-ins:
Snap Art, BlowUp, Exposure, Eye Candy 5: Textures,
Eye Candy 5: Nature, Eye Candy 5: Impact, Xenofex 2,
Image Doctor, and Splat!. These updates are
compatible with the upcoming Photoshop CS3 release
from Adobe Systems, Inc. Alien Skin’s Universal
plug-ins provide a significant performance increase

photographer's leg from the background of a news
photo, should he be fired? How does that leg add news
value to that photo, someone asks. What do you think?
Moms With A Camera (MWAC)

Is it news that many moms find using a camera a great
way to add to the family's income? Emory says the New
York Times thinks it's news, but this has been going
on for decades. It really didn't take the digital
revolution to make that happen. All it took was a
woman who enjoyed photography. However, they may be
right that this is a growing trend. What do you think?
